On July 15, 2024, Midgard finalized an agreement to bring in a minority capital partner.

After the revival and successful reorientation of the historic brand by the management team led by David Einsiedler, Midgard is taking the next strategic step for growth. This aims to advance the development of new products, strengthen the brand, and expand international sales.

Midgard Licht GmbH, based in Hamburg, Germany, was founded in 1919 by Curt Fischer. Curt Fischer is considered the inventor of adjustable lighting. In the 1920s, lights were statically fixed, so the light could not be directed to a desired spot on the work surface.
